The Māui Lab also provides consulting services using teams of academics and students. That means we are growing our students with fantastic experience and delivering to our people at lower prices than other consulting outfits.
Why would you pick us for consulting services? Because:
- we’re on the kaupapa—we exist to serve the Māori community, we believe in our people and we’re here to harness the resources we can access to serve the kaupapa our people want
- we have the know-how—the Māui Lab team have spent their career working with our people—we’ve got a track record of delivering for and with our people
- we can draw on all of UC’s academic community, there really is no project that we can’t do
- we can make you feel good about spending money on consulting services—all the consulting revenue we generate gets reinvested back into our students, through scholarships and experiences they wouldn’t otherwise get
So far, the Māui Lab has delivered three projects. We co-designed and co-delivered the Man awa Tīti leadership programme in partnership with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Mokowhiti Limited, helping to create a programme that nurtures and builds Papatipu Rūnanga leaders. We have also delivered two projects for Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu (South Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency). In the first project, we helped Te Pūtahitanga strengthen how they support whānau and hapū innovation. In the second, we helped design a programme to support Māori women to transition out of prison.
“While the analysis of feedback and interpretation of relevant literature provided us with a rich source of information to consider, the most significant feature of the [consulting service] was the authenticity of the advice represented within. The integrity of the process you undertook was of huge importance to the reputation of our organization and for the care you took in shaping that process we are deeply grateful”
